EUR/CHF falls to daily lows as euro weakens
FXStreet (Córdoba) - EUR/CHF fell to fresh daily lows at the beginning of the New York session as the shared currency surrenders part of yesterday’s gains as investors closely follow Greek debt negotiations.
Following a consolidation phase, EUR/CHF came under pressure and dropped about half a cent to hit a low of 1.0536 in recent dealings. The pair is currently trading at the 1.0550 zone, 0.49% below its opening price.
EUR/CHF had reached a 2-week high of 1.0622 earlier on the day amid signs the SNB has been intervening to weaken the franc, aiming an unofficial range of 1.0500-1.1000, after removing the 1.2000 floor.
