AUD/USD back below 0.7600

AUD/USD extended gains into a fourth consecutive day on Monday, as the greenback started the week on a soft note following a disappointing employment report published last Friday.

AUD/USD briefly rose above the 0.76 mark and reached a high of 0.7605 before sliding back below the psychological level. At time of writing, the pair is trading at 0.7580, still up 0.19% on the day.

Trading is expected to remain subdued over the next hours, as US markets remain closed in observance of the Labor Day.

AUD/USD levels to consider

As for technical levels, immediate supports are seen at 0.7562 (Sep 5 low), 0.7535 (Sep 2 low) and 0.7491 (100-day SMA). On the other hand, resistances could be faced at 0.7615 (Sep 2 high), 0.7691 (Aug 26 high) and 0.7722 (Aug 18 high).

Gold keeps 2-week highs near $1,330
